The Protecteur du citoyen plays an important role in Québec, but its mandate is sometimes misunderstood. Clarifying the institution’s role and processes was the goal of the video series we produced with their team.

Because the videos speak to different audiences, each one uses a visual style and approach adapted to its message.

The Protecteur du citoyen has been Québec’s ombudsman since 1969. Independent and impartial, it does not report to the Government of Québec. It reports to the National Assembly.

Its mission is to ensure that citizens’ rights are respected in their dealings with Québec public services, to safeguard the integrity of those services, and to help improve them.
